You acknowledge that you are an independent contractor, not an employee of Pristil. You are solely responsible for your own taxes, licenses, insurance, equipment, and supplies. Pristil does not direct or control how you perform cleaning services.
Each service has a platform base price, which reflects the lowest approved price among verified contractors serving a given ZIP code. You may propose a custom price for any service you offer. Custom prices are reviewed by Pristil and, if approved, become available to customers in your service area.
When your approved price is the lowest in a ZIP code, it becomes the displayed “Starting at” price for customers in that area. If another contractor later offers a lower approved price for the same service in the same ZIP code, the base price will adjust to that lower price. This ensures customers always see competitive pricing.
You may change your proposed price at any time, but changes require re-approval before they take effect. Previously approved prices remain in effect until a new price is approved.
When a customer books a recurring service (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly), the price at the time of booking is locked in for the entire duration of that recurring plan. As a contractor, you agree to honor the locked-in price for all visits in that recurring plan, even if the platform base price for the service later changes.
If a customer cancels their recurring plan, the price lock ends and future bookings (if any) will be priced at the then-current rate.
Pristil charges a platform fee of 20% of the booking total. You receive the remaining 80%, minus any applicable Stripe processing fees. The platform fee covers payment processing, customer acquisition, platform maintenance, and support services.
When you mark a job as completed, payment is held for 48 hours. During this period the customer may review the work and file a complaint via a support ticket. If no ticket is filed within 48 hours, payment is automatically released to your Stripe Connect account. If a support ticket is filed, the hold is paused until the dispute is resolved.
To become verified and accept jobs, you must upload a valid photo ID, business license, and proof of insurance. Pristil reviews these documents to confirm your identity and legitimacy. Your business license and insurance must be current (not expired) and must match each other (same business name and entity).
If your documents expire, you must upload renewed documents. Failure to maintain current documents may result in loss of verified status and inability to accept new jobs.
You agree to provide cleaning services in a professional, thorough, and timely manner. Customers may rate your work after each job. Consistently low ratings may result in reduced visibility or removal from the platform.
If you must cancel an accepted job, provide as much notice as possible. Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension. Cancelling within 24 hours of a scheduled job may affect your rating and standing on the platform.
By creating a contractor account and accepting jobs through Pristil, you agree to this Contractor Agreement and the Terms of Service. We may update this agreement at any time; continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of changes.
